Garden within a Garden: The Garden within a Garden is an architectural complex in the style of classical gardens from China's southern regions. Located in the southeastern part of the park, it was built in 1986 and covers an area of 14,000 square meters. The garden is meticulously planned with a rational layout, featuring pavilions, terraces, towers, and attics arranged in an artful and harmonious ensemble. The Magnolia Hall boasts soaring upturned eaves and intricately carved windows and doors, with couplets and plaques hanging within, giving the entire garden a refined, serene, simple, and fresh ambiance. In 1994, the Huaihe Stele Corridor—also known as the Garden within a Garden Stele Corridor—was built in the garden, themed around praising Yu the Great and celebrating the Huai River. The corridor houses 48 stone inscriptions by renowned modern calligraphers such as Lin Sanzhi, Wu Zuoren, Gu Tinglong, and Ouyang Zhongshi. Visitors to this site often find themselves filled with joy and inspiration. The garden also offers traditional wedding activities such as bridal sedan chair rides, classic wedding ceremonies at the ceremonial hall, the "Lovers’ Bridge," and the "Matchmaker’s Pavilion," which have become highly favored backdrops for newlyweds' photo shoots. It has now become a major outdoor filming location for weddings in the city.
