Bengbu Zhanggongshan Zoo

Located in the western part of the park, Zhanggongshan Zoo is the second-largest zoo in our province, covering an area of 37 acres with 75 enclosures. It is home to 52 animal species and 384 individual animals (heads), serving as an educational base for children to learn about wildlife. Here, visitors can see rare animals such as the Northeast Tiger, African Lion, Leopard, Sika Deer, Red-crowned Crane, White Tiger, Wildebeest, and Addax. The daily animal training and performance shows are especially popular with tourists. The Northeast Tigers “Huhu” and “Beibei” have given birth to 9 litters totaling 28 cubs since 1996, with 26 surviving. Their breeding techniques are highly regarded in East China and even across the country’s zoological community.
