Yangliuqing Square is exquisitely designed, rationally laid out, fully functional, mature in style, and rich in symbolism. Its completion has greatly advanced the planning, layout, and construction of Yangliuqing Town, giving the millennia-old town a fresh look and a vibrant new energy.

The square covers a total area of 72,000 square meters and consists of main and auxiliary sections. The main square’s national flag, flower stands, cascading water features, sculptures, and fountains form the “heart” of the square, while the European-style sparse woodland and lawns embrace the east and west as the “lungs,” interspersed with five recreational gardens. The auxiliary square features a semicircular arrangement of Roman-style colonnades as its main architectural element, echoing and integrating seamlessly with the main square. At the center of the square stand three sculptures: the blue “Infinite Development,” the yellow “Light of Civilization,” and the red “Gate of Hundred Blessings,” symbolizing advanced productive forces, advanced culture, and the fundamental interests of the people, respectively. They reflect the town’s profound historical and cultural heritage and the people’s strong pursuit of a better life.

Yangliuqing Town: Located at a strategic point near the capital, Yangliuqing Town is the seat of the Xiqing District government and serves as the political, economic, and cultural hub of the district. The area lies in the western part of Tianjin, bordering Zhongbei Town and Yangliuqing Farm to the east, Zhangjiawo Town to the south, Xinkou Town to the southwest, Wuqing District to the northwest, and Beichen District to the north. Covering an administrative area of 64 square kilometers, with a built-up town area of 13 square kilometers, the town governs 25 administrative villages and 29 neighborhood committees, with a total population of 120,000.
