The Anhui Science and Technology Museum is a patriotic education base.

The Anhui Science and Technology Museum is a large-scale public science education venue, located in the Hefei High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. It covers an area of approximately 19,500 square meters, with a building area of 12,000 square meters, including 4,000 square meters for exhibition and education, over 160 various science exhibits (sets), 600 square meters for experimental and training education, as well as a 10,000-square-meter outdoor children’s science activity park.

Since its opening in 1999, the provincial science museum has been offering science education programs to the public, especially young people, through exhibition education, training education, experimental education, activity-based education, and mobile science outreach via science vans. Current science service offerings include permanent exhibition halls, large-scale science performance shows, small science experiments, the Mobile Science Museum, science activities brought to schools, and touring exhibitions for small and medium-sized science museums. With the development of the science museum sector, new functions have been added, such as innovation demonstration in science education activities, research and innovation practice in science education products, and guidance for the construction and development of local science museums. In addition, the provincial science museum organizes various scientific innovation experiment competitions across the province. It innovates science education activities based on current social issues, introduces science exhibits and display boards, and offers a variety of engaging activities such as visits, experiments, lectures, and competitions. These activities combine education with entertainment to provide science education and disseminate both ancient and modern scientific knowledge to the general public, especially students.

The Anhui Science and Technology Museum is currently open to the public free of charge year-round, with an average of over 270 open days per year, remaining open as usual during holidays.
