Hefei Olympic Sports Center

The Hefei Olympic Sports Center consists of three main venues: the main stadium with a capacity of 60,000, the swimming hall accommodating 3,000, and the comprehensive gymnasium seating 8,000. On October 16, 2011, the fully completed sports center hosted the 11th Provincial Games of our province, marking the first time the new sports center was put into use.

Mr. Li Xiaohuai, head of the Hefei Olympic Sports Center project department, knows every detail of this massive project that cost 850 million yuan and took 26 consecutive months of construction. Whether the new stadium can host events of the caliber of the Golden League, every venue has been designed to international standards, and both the soft and hard conditions are fully capable of hosting various international single-sport events. "The Hefei Olympic Sports Center is fully functional, well-equipped, and many of its facilities are of national top-tier quality, even unique. Aside from being slightly smaller in scale, its design concept is entirely comparable to the venues of the Beijing Olympics."
