Located to the east of the Shi Family Courtyard, it covers an area of 30,000 square meters with a construction area of 40,000 square meters, recreating the bustling street scene of Yangliuqing when it was a merchant hub in ancient times. The first phase adopts a combination of a long street and hu-lu-guan-style architecture, consisting of one-story, two-story, and at most three-story buildings, arranged in a well-spaced, majestic, and grand layout with blue bricks and tiles, precisely laid mortar joints, forming a complex of imitation Qing Dynasty buildings. The second phase includes an elegant and imposing ancient theater, the magnificent Guangming Grand Hall, a spacious and tidy folk culture square, and various quaint shops, completed in 2005. The corridors, flying eaves, upturned corners, and colorful, delicate paintings on the street’s buildings all showcase the charm of the ancient town and its historic streets. Visitors can purchase Yangliuqing New Year paintings, kites, paper-cuttings, clay sculptures, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs from various regions here.

The Ming-Qing Street in the thousand-year-old ancient town is a commercial and tourist street at the “heart” of the Yangliuqing Folk Tourism Area and also the necessary route for visiting various attractions, hence it is also known as the “Golden Street” of Yangliuqing. It is situated south of Yangliuqing Town, west of Guangming Road, adjacent to the Wenchang Pavilion to the east, bordering the “Number One Residence in Western Tianjin” — the Shi Family Courtyard — to the west, and leaning against the ancient South Canal to the south.

The architecture of the Ming-Qing Street combines the styles of a long street and hu-lu-guan-style buildings, with a maximum of three stories, featuring blue bricks and gray tiles, precisely laid mortar joints, forming a complex of imitation Qing Dynasty buildings. The street features archways, a theater that spans the street, and various shops with an antique Qing Dynasty style.
