Lida Staple Food Kitchen
Lida Staple Food Kitchen is a patriotic education base.
Tianjin Grain & Oil Group Lida Staple Food Kitchen was established in 1998 as the city’s first mechanized staple food processing base, mainly producing nine types of staple food products such as steamed buns, shaobing, hawthorn buns, date rolls, and sugar triangles. Guided by the business philosophy of “caring for people’s livelihood, green safety, integrity in operation, and quality first,” the kitchen uses the company’s own nationally renowned “Lida Flour” as its raw material. It employs China’s most advanced staple food production line, where the entire process—from closed bulk flour transportation to feeding, water addition, dough mixing, cutting, molding, proofing, steaming, cooling, and packaging—is fully automated, digitized, and operates in a completely enclosed environment. The production process is pollution-free and zero-contact, meeting the food purification standard of Class 100,000 cleanliness. Currently, Lida Staple Food Kitchen has a daily production capacity of 2 million units, making it the largest and most advanced staple food production base in the country.
Lida Staple Food Kitchen has been awarded numerous honors, including National Model Enterprise in Staple Food Processing, National Model Enterprise in Agricultural Product Processing, National Model Base for Reemployment, National Workers’ Pioneer Unit, National March 8th Red-Banner Collective, National Women’s Civilization Model Post, as well as Tianjin Food Safety Excellence Enterprise, Tianjin Model Collective of Model Workers, and Tianjin Industrial Tourism Demonstration Site. For three consecutive years, it has been listed among the city’s 20 People’s Livelihood Projects by the municipal government, serving as a model project for safe food in Tianjin. “Lida Safe Steamed Buns” have won widespread acclaim from consumers for their green, safe, and healthy qualities, becoming an indispensable staple on the dining tables of Tianjin residents.
Lida Staple Food Kitchen has extensively carried out public activities such as “Love the Party, Love the Country, Love Tianjin,” “Tianjin Is More Brilliant with Me, Safe Food Benefits People’s Livelihood,” “Practicing the Mass Line, Building a Responsible State-Owned Enterprise,” and “Inviting You to See Our Safe Steamed Buns.” Over 60 grain system units from provinces (and municipalities) across the country have visited Lida Staple Food Kitchen for observation and study, witnessing firsthand the production process of “Lida Flour” and the making of “Safe Steamed Buns.” More than 1,000 university students from institutions such as Nankai University and Tianjin University have come to Lida Staple Food Kitchen for training and learning. Through this window, the spirit of Tianjin—“patriotism, integrity, pragmatism, innovation, openness, and inclusiveness”—has been actively promoted, showcasing the achievements of the city’s economic development, people’s livelihood projects, and key food safety initiatives. This has further inspired a sense of pride, honor, and responsibility among citizens in loving the Party, the country, and Tianjin. In 2013, it was designated as a Tianjin Patriotic Education Base by the municipal government.
