The Anhui Cultural Celebrities Memorial Hall is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

A national AA-level tourist attraction and a key scenic spot in Wuhu, located on Yanyu Islet along Jinghu Road in Wuhu City. Yanyu Islet features weeping willows, red-brick buildings nestled among greenery, shimmering lake reflections, and tranquil island views. Legend has it that this was the study place of Zhang Xiaoxiang, a renowned ci poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. In 1987, the Wuhu Municipal Government established here the first celebrity memorial hall in Anhui.

The hall houses separate exhibition rooms for the book collections of A Ying, Wang Ying, and Hong ?. A Ying was a famous modern writer, dramatist, literary historian, and bibliophile. The A Ying exhibition room displays over 12,930 volumes from his personal collection, including 8,000 ancient thread-bound books, as well as hundreds of items such as his manuscripts, theatrical photographs, and the early issues of the magazine "Cang Mang" which he once edited. Wang Ying was a renowned Chinese stage and film actress, performer, and writer. The Wang Ying exhibition room showcases many artifacts including her performance photos, manuscripts, and relics from the war of resistance. Hong ? was a prominent modern Chinese educator and bibliophile, and a pioneer of higher education in China. The Hong ? book exhibition room contains 1,358 types and 14,157 volumes of ancient books donated by Mr. Hong ? during his lifetime. Most of these books are stone-printed or finely printed editions from the late Qing Dynasty, including several particularly precious volumes printed during the Ming Dynasty's Wanli era. In addition, there are also some valuable calligraphy and paintings, issues of the Palace Museum Monthly, as well as Han and Tang dynasty stele rubbings, all of which hold high aesthetic value. The rich cultural atmosphere of Yanyu Islet blends seamlessly with its serene natural landscape, making it a captivating destination for visitors from both China and abroad.
