Xie Yuda Tea Culture Museum

The Xie Yuda Tea Culture Museum is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Xie Yuda Tea Museum is located in Huizhou District, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. The museum houses a collection of traditional folk tea-making tools from Huizhou, historical books on Maofeng tea culture, and more, showcasing the long history of Huizhou culture and Huizhou tea culture. It was completed and opened to the public in April 2008.

Layout and Construction The Xie Yuda Tea Museum is the first tea culture museum in Anhui Province, covering a total area of 3,500 square meters and built in the Hui-style architectural tradition. It integrates the history of Xie Zheng’an, the founder of Huangshan Maofeng tea, and the development of Huangshan Maofeng tea, the display of the production techniques of Xie Yuda products, tea ceremony performances, and tea tasting. It is a cultural venue themed around promoting Huizhou culture and Huizhou tea culture. It serves as the external brand image of Xie Yuda Tea Industry Co., Ltd., and is also an important medium for the dissemination of Huangshan Maofeng tea and Chinese tea culture.

“A century-old brand started with Zheng’an, and today’s glory is forged by Yuda.” On the occasion of the centennial anniversary of the founding of the “Xie Yuda Tea House,” the establishment of the Xie Yuda Tea Museum allows the public to understand Huangshan Maofeng tea more directly and vividly. At the same time, it also revives the glory of the century-old brand “Xie Yuda.”

The “Xie Yuda Tea Museum” draws on the history of Huizhou merchants and explores the commercial and cultural spirit of the Huizhou business community. From the perspective of the development history of Chinese tea culture, it showcases the origin, development, and evolution of Huangshan Maofeng tea, as well as the journey of Xie Zheng’an who, after years of painstaking effort and cultivation experiments, finally achieved a “positive outcome” by creating a classic Maofeng tea with a unique style and quality, which became world-renowned and was later honored as the “First Family of Huangshan Maofeng.”

Through rich and detailed collections, exhibits, historical documents, and artifacts, and by using exhibition forms and methods that align with modern aesthetic sensibilities, the museum presents a comprehensive display of historical relics, tea books, tea classics, tea paintings (both ancient and modern), tea techniques, and tea artistry. This achieves a concentrated expression of the spiritual essence of business philosophy derived from the tea ceremony by Xie Zheng’an, the pioneer of “Huangshan Maofeng First Family.” It further extends to the integration of tea with religion, society, and life, reflecting how later generations, while competing in the market and developing the economy, have not forgotten to carry forward the legacy—“The highest goodness is like water, and virtue bears all things”—embedding traditional cultural essence into modern corporate culture to create brand products that align with both the external form and inner qualities of the tea ceremony.
