Chengkan Shengxian Bridge

Located to the west of Shuibukou Village, Yanggan Village, Chengkan Town, the bridge spans the “氵众” River (pronounced similarly to “zhòng”) from east to west. Constructed from granite, it is a three-arch stone bridge, measuring 18 meters in length, 4.5 meters in width, and 3.5 meters in height. The central arch is larger, with a span of 9 meters, and the bridge deck has a slight arch. It was initiated during the Ming Dynasty’s Jiajing era by Luo Qisheng of Chengkan, named after Luo Wenyu, and was renovated in the first year of the Xuantong era with funding from Luo Henggan. It is now the essential route from Shuibukou Village to Chengkan.

Yanggan Village: Yanggan is located in the central part of Huizhou District. The road from Yansi heading north to Huangshan splits at Foziling. The left path leads to Huangshan, while the right goes to Yanggan and Chengkan. Descending from Foziling Hill leads to Lower Yanggan, crossing the ? River takes you to Middle Yanggan, and going further up leads to Upper Yanggan. Collectively, Upper, Middle, and Lower Yanggan are commonly referred to as Yanggan. In the Yuan Dynasty, Yanggan belonged to the 14th District; during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was under Tongde Township, Fengle Li, She County, Huizhou Prefecture. In the Republican period, it was governed by Qiankou, and after the establishment of the People's Republic of China, it was assigned to Chengkan Commune in 1952.
