Yongji Bridge in Huizhou

Located in Qiashe, spanning the Dashui River of Huangshan, this was a former key route into Huangshan Mountain. Built with blue stones, it is a double-arch stone bridge. Its construction date is unknown (within the reservoir area of Fengle Reservoir). According to the *Shexian County Annals* from the Republican era: it was originally built by Jiang Tairen and Jiang Zhenbao, featuring two arches. By the Republican era, Jiang Zhihe rebuilt it and renamed it Jicheng. The bridge is 37 meters long, 8 meters wide, and about 10 meters high. Above the central pier between the two arches, a blue stone slab approximately 1 meter long and 80 centimeters wide is embedded in the bridge body, inscribed with the three characters “Jicheng Bridge” and dated “the 27th year of the Republic of China.”
