Huizhou Guanyin Bridge is located in Xixinan Village, Xixinan Town, Huizhou District, dating back to the Ming Dynasty. The Stone Bridge Village sits at the source of Huangshan Mountain, by the side of the Fengle River. The waters of the Fengle River rush past the Song Dynasty water conservancy project — Chang’e, then surge straight toward the foot of Jinzhu Mountain. After being blocked, the river turns left, cascades down the embankment at the foot of Zhishan Mountain behind Stone Bridge Village, and flows rapidly through the first bridge on the upper reaches of the Fengle River funded solely by Huang Baiwan during the Ming Dynasty — the Stone Bridge — before continuing eastward. Stone Bridge Village is built along the foothills of Zhishan Mountain to the east, drawing water from the Fengle River via Tiaolong into the village. The main current flows directly past the Stone Bridge and through a five-arch covered bridge (commonly known as “Guanyin Bridge”).
