Furong Valley

Furong Valley is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Introduction Located at the foot of Furong Peak on the northern slopes of Huangshan Mountain, also known as the North Gate of Huangshan, it is 10 kilometers from the city center. Stretching 10 kilometers from the North Sea and West Sea areas of Huangshan down to Huangbitan, the valley features towering peaks and rugged rocks. It contains over 100 emerald-green pools of various sizes, 24 of which have a major axis of more than 15 meters. The shimmering waters and vibrant colors resemble blooming lotus flowers. The area is filled with a youthful charm, hence it is also known as the "Valley of Spring." Furong Ridge lies above Furong Valley and below Furong Peak, which stands at an elevation of 1,365 meters and resembles a newly bloomed lotus flower, hence its name. Furong Ridge is a key route for hiking up the mountain. There is a cave on the ridge called Furong Cave, where visitors can view the meandering stream from the cave entrance. Below the ridge is a valley area that includes the former site of Furong Nunnery, later renamed “Furong Residence.” Transportation The main gate of Furong Valley is located beside the Ganfu Highway, which connects the city center to the North Gate of Huangshan. By following the scenic stone path within the valley for 5 kilometers, you can reach the Songgu Mountain Cable Car Station.
