The premium green tea "Tingxi Orchid Aroma" is produced in Tingxi, Jing County, situated in the mountainous region of southern Anhui. It is famed for its natural phenomenon where "on clear days, mist lingers at dawn and dusk, while on rainy or overcast days, clouds shroud the mountains throughout the day." Nestled within this environment are over 2,000 acres of wild organic tea gardens. Naturally grown tea trees here are often accompanied by mountain blossoms, neighbored by clear springs, embraced by clouds and mist, and nestled in serene valleys. This pristine ecological setting gives rise to the exceptional natural quality of "Tingxi Orchid Aroma," while its exquisite craftsmanship is hailed as a masterpiece among teas. It has become a hallmark of Jing County and attracts widespread attention.
The "Tingxi Orchid Aroma" tea produced and sold by Anhui Lanxiang Tea Industry Co., Ltd. was developed and named under the guidance of the renowned Chinese tea expert and modern-day "Tea Sage" Professor Chen Chuan. Crafted using traditional techniques, the tea is shaped like embroidered scissors, vibrant green with visible fine hairs, exuding an orchid-like fragrance, offering a fresh and refreshing taste, and presenting a bright liquor color. Brewing a cup releases an overflow of orchid aroma, and a single sip leaves a lingering fragrance on the lips and palate. The tea’s production area features beautiful mountains and clear waters, with a warm and humid climate, known for its natural condition where "on clear days, mist lingers at dawn and dusk, while on rainy or overcast days, clouds cover the mountains all day long." The natural tea trees grow amid mountain flowers, neighbored by clear springs, embraced by clouds and mist, and nestled in secluded valleys. The high mountains and deep valleys act as barriers that prevent the intrusion of pests and diseases into the tea gardens, ensuring the tea’s premium quality and safety. This tea is shaped like embroidered scissors, vibrant green with visible fine hairs, boasts a long-lasting and lofty fragrance, and offers a refreshing taste. The pristine natural environment fosters the outstanding inherent quality of "Tingxi Orchid Aroma," and its masterful processing technique is considered a marvel among teas. It has become a symbol of Jing County and draws considerable global admiration.
In the summer of 1979, the beloved Comrade [Jiang Zemin] visited Huangshan and stopped in Jing County, where he tasted the county’s famous teas and praised them, saying: "This tea is excellent—it has the qualities of both Huangshan Maofeng and West Lake Longjing. I will drink this tea from now on."
