Qilin Pine
On the waist of Lion Peak in the northern part of Beihai, located near the Lion Forest Hermitage. The Qilin Pine has a diameter at breast height of 50 centimeters and splits into two trunks at a height of 1.5 meters, growing diagonally in opposite directions—east and west—at varying heights. The higher branch resembles a qilin’s horn, while the lower one looks like its tail. The main trunk's bark is mottled like qilin scales, strikingly resembling the appearance of a qilin. Hence the name.
