Baiyun Stream

Introduction: Baiyun Stream is located in the western part of Huangshan Mountain. It originates from the deep valley beneath Paiyun Pavilion in the West Sea area, gathering waters from the peaks of the West Sea, as well as Shizhu, Aoyu, Yunji, and Jiulong peaks. The stream stretches approximately 13 kilometers in total. After reaching Diaqiao Nunnery, it merges with the waters of Yunmen Stream and flows westward. The stream has abundant water flow that never dries up year-round. It features a series of deep pools that are a feast for the eyes. The largest one, Shuanglong Pool, covers an area of 400 square meters and is over 5 meters deep. The long and narrow Shayu Pool is less than a meter wide but more than 20 meters long, with unfathomable depths. Along the stream, there are over 10 waterfalls, each with unique shapes, competing in beauty. The banks are lined with spectacular peaks and perilous rocks. The interplay of water and mountain creates a picturesque scenery everywhere. Additionally, there is another Baiyun Stream at the foot of Yunji Peak, which flows eastward to join Taohua Stream.
