Introduction: Sedan Roof Peak is located along the Songgu Path, adjacent to Book Box Peak, and is one of the 36 smaller peaks, standing at an elevation of 1032 meters. The peak resembles the roof of a traditional sedan chair, hence its name. Legend has it that in ancient times, a local tyrant tried to force a young woman named Shuiying to become his concubine, but she resisted. When the bridal sedan was passing by Songgu Hermitage, Shuiying claimed that the scenery there was beautiful and asked to stop and admire it. The bridal party and the sedan bearers had no choice but to stop. As everyone was gesturing and admiring the view, Shuiying secretly prayed inside the sedan, asking the deities for help. The moment she finished her prayer, a sudden gust of wind arose, blowing the bearers and the bridal party away without a trace. In the blink of an eye, the bridal sedan — along with Shuiying herself — transformed into the lush, verdant Sedan Roof Peak. When the tyrant learned of this, he was so enraged that he fainted dead away.
