Flat cushion Pine

-Pine: One of the Ten Famous Pines, listed as a World Heritage Site. Located along the trail from Yungu Temple to Lotus Valley, beneath Eagle Rock. Situated at an altitude of 1,610 meters, the tree itself is only 3 meters tall with a trunk diameter of 35 centimeters. The crown has a diameter of 10 meters, casting a shadow over an area of 78 square meters. Its lateral branches are densely clustered around the 2-meter mark, tightly coiled all around before stretching out horizontally, tilting toward the north. The needles are densely packed at the top, and the crown spreads out flat, resembling a flat cushion made of straw—used by monks and Taoists for sitting or kneeling—hence the name. The tree is approximately 350 years old.
