Stone Bamboo Ridge

Located between “Beginning to Believe Peak” and “Immortal Peak,” this area features jagged rocks and famous sights such as the “Eighteen Arhats Facing the South Sea” and the “Standing Buddha Rock.”

The pine-covered stones on the ridge present yet another marvelous spectacle. Ming Dynasty scholar Wu Tingshan described other places as “astonishing at every step,” but the scenery here is “astonishing at every ten steps”! Wu Zhaoqian’s book Exploring the Wonders of Huangshan describes the Lushan Waterfall, Yandang Dragon Pool, and Huangshan’s Stone Bamboo as the “Three Wonders Under Heaven.”
