Huangshan Tiger Forest Park is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Huangshan Tiger Forest Park is one of the key projects under Anhui Province’s “861” Program and an important part of the provincial-level comprehensive agricultural development demonstration zone at the northern gate of Huangshan. The park is located on the golden tourism route of “Two Mountains and One Lake” in Anhui Province, just 5 kilometers from the Taiping Cableway at the northern gate of Huangshan and 3 kilometers from the Huangshan District exit of the He-Tong-Huang Expressway. It enjoys a superior location, convenient transportation, and excellent ecological conditions. This area was once a habitat for South China tigers. The local geography and climate are highly suitable for the growth and reproduction of Siberian tigers, making it an ideal breeding ground for them.

Covering an area of over 500 acres, Huangshan Tiger Forest Park is a comprehensive tourist destination themed around tiger viewing and science education, supplemented by botanical gardens, leisure vacations, dining and accommodation, and fitness activities. In addition to tiger viewing, the park also offers animal training performances, a tiger-viewing restaurant, a shopping center, and a teahouse. There are 50 wild Siberian tigers living freely in the park, making it the largest Siberian tiger breeding base in East China. This plays a significant role in enriching the diversity of Huangshan’s tourism offerings and enhancing the overall quality of its tourism products. The establishment of Huangshan Tiger Forest Park fills a gap in the region—there were previously no large-scale eco-parks featuring free-range tigers in the entire province or even East China. In December 2010, it was recognized as an “Anhui Provincial Science Education Base” by the provincial Association for Science and Technology. In 2013, it was rated as a national AAAA-level scenic area.
