Haixin Pavilion

Haixin Pavilion is located in the Tiandian Scenic Area. As the name suggests, it sits at the “heart of the sea” within the 400-square-li expanse of Huangshan. Surrounded by peaks, to the south you can view peaks such as Aoyu (Turtle) and Lianhua (Lotus), while to the north lies Guangmingding (Bright Summit), with the East and West Seas standing opposite each other.

The four-cornered, four-pillared Haixin Pavilion is built from bluestone in an elegant, simple, dignified style. Perched high on the cliff, it offers an excellent vantage point for sightseeing. Cloud seas can be seen from all around the pavilion. Additionally, about 200 meters away stands the Phoenix Pine, whose crown resembles a phoenix spreading its wings — one of Huangshan’s ten famous pines. The area in front of the Phoenix Pine is also a great spot to witness the Buddha’s Light phenomenon.

Haixin Pavilion lies at the heart of Huangshan’s 400-li expanse. After a long hike through mountain paths, resting in this “great plain” allows you to take in the sweeping views and feel a sense of openness. Moreover, Haixin Pavilion is a designated smoking area.
