Dengjiashan Shang-Zhou Relics Site

The Dengjiashan Shang-Zhou Relics Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

In July 1985, the Ma'anshan Cultural Relics Survey Team conducted an on-site investigation based on clues provided by local farmers and collected numerous unearthed cultural relics. In August of the same year, the Archaeology Department of the Nanjing Museum identified the site as an ancient cultural relic dating back to the Shang and Western Zhou dynasties. The Dengjiashan Shang-Zhou Relics Site has a history of over three thousand years and belongs to the Hushu Culture (also known as Wu Culture) type in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. This discovery helped fill gaps in Hushu Culture research materials and also provided valuable information for studying the living habits and development of productivity of ancient humans in the Ma'anshan area and southern Jiangsu.
