Daijiadun Site

The Daijiadun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Daijiadun Site is located in Sanlian Village, Yatan Town, Wangjiang County, Anqing City, dating back to the late Neolithic Age.

It lies about 30 kilometers north of the county seat and covers an area of approximately 30,000 square meters. It was discovered during an April 1985 cultural relics survey. Artifacts collected include pottery fragments from tripods, dou (stemmed bowls), jugs, jars, and bowls, as well as tripod feet, vessel lids, bases, and stone tools such as axes, spades, adzes, and chisels. The pottery items were all handmade, mostly sandy red pottery with a minority being gray pottery. Most are plain, while a few feature string patterns or net-like designs. All stone tools are polished. The main body of the site remains largely intact.

On October 23, 2012, the Daijiadun Site was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Protected Area: A radius of 200 meters in the east, south, west, and north, with the center point of the site as the reference.

Construction Control Zone: A buffer zone extending 50 meters outward from the protected area boundaries.

Yatan Town: Yatan Town is located in the northwest of Wangjiang County, Anhui Province. It was formed through the merger of the former Yatan Town, Maiyuan Township, and Gulu Township. It currently has a population of 75,600, with a total controlled area of 158 square kilometers, including 63,154 mu of arable land, 38,000 mu of mountainous land, and 6,000 mu of water area.
