Baoyin Temple Pagoda

Baoyin Temple Pagoda is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Baoyin Temple Pagoda is located at Fengqichongkou, Yuanfan Village, Matou Township, Wangjiang County, Anhui Province, and was built in the second year of the Baoli era during the Tang Dynasty. It is recorded in the “Wangjiang County Annals · Mountain and River Map” from the 22nd year of the Wanli era in the Ming Dynasty. The ancient pagoda is constructed from blue bricks, has six sides and seven stories, and is about 25 meters high. Its core is solid, with doors on each level resembling Buddhist niches, except for the ground floor, which has four doors opening outward. Each level is paved with sloping bricks, extending out to form eaves. The top of the pagoda, due to long-term disrepair, has suffered damage.

Protected area: a 3-meter radius around the base of the pagoda.

Construction control zone: a 7-meter buffer extending outward from the protected area.

Liantangcheng Village: Located beside Xiangming Mountain and bordering Huaining County, Liantangcheng Village is home to famous historical sites such as the Guanmacheng Ruins and Baoyin Temple Pagoda. The village currently has a population of 5,033, covers a land area of 4,531.3 mu, includes 20 natural villages, and hosts the Yatan Fireworks Base.
