The Main Hall of the Wu Family Ancestral House is a municipal-level cultural heritage site protected by Anqing City.

The Main Hall of the Wu Family Ancestral House is located in Huayuan Village, Gaoshi Town, Wangjiang County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

On October 23, 2012, the Main Hall of the Wu Family Ancestral House was designated as part of the sixth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Anqing City.

Gaoshi Town: Situated by the scenic Jiaosai Lake and Wuchang Lake in Wangjiang County, Gaoshi Town covers a total area of 122 square kilometers with a population of over 80,000. It governs 16 administrative villages. Provincial Highway Anjiu (from Anqing to Jiujiang) and the county’s main artery, Wegan Road (the ring road around the county), intersect in a “cross” pattern at the town center. The town is 20 kilometers from the county seat and only 46 kilometers from downtown Anqing. Its “three vertical and six horizontal” transportation network highlights its incomparable locational advantages and favorable development environment.
