The existing structure is a seven-bay, two-alley building facing south, with a total width of 32 meters and a depth of 7 columns and 9 purlins. It features a small blue tile hip-and-gable roof, a mixed post-and-lintel and beam-raising timber frame, with bracket sets installed at the ridge purlin atop the central columns and at the top of the front columns. The square-shaped columns have widely spaced floor beams and thick floorboards. The floorboards in the central hall are severely decayed. The side stones of the partition wall foundations are uniformly constructed from flat bricks, which is uncommon in other ancient buildings. The walls are built with dragon-bone bricks, and the upper layer of the partition walls in the moon-beam section is made of bamboo-reinforced mud. The step stones of the front porch are exceptionally large. At the front of the courtyard, half of a second gate remains; it was originally a memorial archway-style entrance gate, the upper part of which has been destroyed. The remaining stone gate frame is 3.8 meters wide and 3 meters in surviving height, with a simple design that reflects the Ming Dynasty style. Based on the original architectural scale and structural style, this residence is believed to have been part of an official’s mansion from the Ming Dynasty.
