The former residence of Li Houji is a cultural tourism attraction.

The former residence of Li Houji is located at No. 90 Chifeng Road, Heping District, with a construction area of 900 square meters. It is a small three-story sloped-roof building made of brick and wood. The ground floor houses the living room, dining room, study, and other spaces, the second floor contains bedrooms, and the third floor features a uniquely designed small 0. The interior includes wainscoting, diagonally laid patterned flooring made of Philippine wood, and double-layer large windows. Another notable feature of this building is its semi-basement, which Li Houji used as a storage room. Legend has it that a mysterious safe was once kept there. There is also a rear building with a construction area of 150 square meters, consisting of a two-story brick and wood structure. It has an external staircase connecting it to the front building. This small house was originally built by Xiao Dezhang, a eunuch in the late Qing Dynasty, and was later purchased by Li Houji from Xiao Dezhang to serve as his residence. The residence is currently used by the Heping District Armed Forces Department.

Li Houji (1870–1942), courtesy name Peizhi, was from Dawanglou Village, Liangzhai Town, Feng County, Xuzhou (formerly part of Tongshan County). He graduated from the Beiyang Military Preparatory School. Initially serving as the commander of the guard unit under the Viceroy of Zhili, he later held positions such as commander and regimental commander of the Second Brigade of the Beiyang Army, and brigade commander of the Seventh Brigade of the Fourth Brigade. During the Xinhai Revolution, he participated in the attack on Wuhan. After the establishment of the Republic, he was appointed as the commander of the Seventh Brigade of the Fourth Division. In 1913, he led troops into Shanghai to suppress the “Second Revolution” and served as the commander of the Wusong Fortress. In the same year, he led forces into Fujian, successively holding positions such as Fujian Military Governor and Military Protector.
