The former residence of Zhang Fuyun is located at No. 2 Changde Road, Heping District, Tianjin. Built in 1935, it covers an area of 6.457 municipal mu with a construction area of 1,238.27 square meters. It is a villa designed in the style of a European courtyard building. The two-story structure features a mixed brick-and-wood construction, hollow small-ribbed brick flooring, exposed red brick walls, and a spacious courtyard with a tranquil environment. The entrance hall of the villa has a colored marble floor. The first-floor rooms are adorned with various decorative motifs and feature fireplaces in different styles. The living room walls are supported by four sets of paired classical Western-style pilasters, with double columns and beams. The second floor consists of bedrooms and bathrooms, all with balconies. The corridor is lined with Roman Tuscan-style pilasters. The entire building has 39 rooms of various sizes. After the liberation, the property was placed under the management of the housing authority in 1952 and later served as a guesthouse for Tianjin. In 1997, with the approval of the municipal government, the Tianjin Cultural Relics Bureau designated the villa as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit in the third batch.
