Yigutang
Yigutang is a cultural heritage protection unit of Pujiang County.
Yigutang is located in Xinguang Natural Village, Xinguang Administrative Village, Yuzhai Township, Pujiang County. It dates back to the Qing Dynasty and is classified as an ancient building.
Yigutang is among the fourth batch of county-level cultural heritage protection units in Pujiang County.
Xinguang Village: Xinguang Village in Yuzhai Township has a population of 550 and is situated in northern Pujiang. Provincial Highway 20 runs straight through the village to Hangzhou. It is the first organic tea production base in Pujiang County (MaLiang brand Oolong CuiFeng). The village has completed the Sweet Spring Project and road construction leading into the village. It is recognized as a county-level cultural characteristic village and a municipal cultural heritage demonstration village, with a protection and development plan already in place. Within the village lies the Lingyan Ancient Manor, featuring alleyways arranged in the pattern of the Bagua (Eight Trigrams), cultural elements representing the Four Treasures of the Study, and very old street lamps. The area boasts rich cultural heritage, serving not only as a Jiangnan-style courtyard filled with the legends and stories of Zhejiang merchants over the past three hundred years, but also as an architectural museum showcasing premium artworks from both Hangzhou and Huizhou styles.
