Longhui Mountain is located to the east of Changtang. With undulating peaks and majestic beauty, it resembles a massive natural barrier. The mountain features thirteen pits, nine ridges, and a pool that remains clear and green year-round, known as the "Dragon Pool." These nine ridges are shaped like nine dragons in various poses, or it is said that nine dragons each occupy a ridge and converge here, hence the name Longhui Mountain (Dragon Gathering Mountain). On the mountain stands a grand Dragon King Temple. In the main hall sits an imposing statue of the Dragon King. Slightly in front, there is another wooden statue of the same deity, slightly smaller than the seated one, known as the "Traveling Palace Statue," which is used by villagers each year when they hold ceremonies to pray for rain during droughts. In times of prolonged drought with no rainfall, farmers would carry the Traveling Palace Statue of the Dragon King out into the open sun, where villagers would kneel and pray for the Dragon King to bring rain and relieve the disaster. If blessed rains finally come and the disaster is averted, a grand ceremony to welcome the deity is held. Of course, even in years without disaster—when the weather is favorable and harvests are plentiful—a celebratory ceremony is also held. Therefore, Longhui Mountain holds a sacred place in the hearts of the ancestors of Changtang.
