The Tomb of Wang Chong is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Tomb of Wang Chong is located on Wushi Mountain in Hangpu Village, Shangyu, fourteen li to the southwest. In the 12th year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1807), Lin Jian, a local resident, renovated the site. In the 5th year of the Xianfeng reign (1855), Lin Chen and Xie Jianting restored and erected a stone marker. In 1965, during the expansion of a tea plantation, the tomb was leveled, leaving only a stone stele erected in 1855 inscribed with “Tomb of Mr. Wang Zhongren (Wang Chong) of the Han Dynasty.”

In 1981, the provincial government funded the restoration of the tomb at its original site. The tomb is circular, built with Wushi stone, with earthen mounding and grass planted on top. It stands 2 meters tall and has a diameter of 5 meters. In front of the tomb is a stele erected in the 5th year of the Xianfeng reign (1855). The tomb platform is 10 meters wide and 11 meters deep, also constructed from Wushi stone. In front of the platform stands an explanatory stele titled “Introduction to Wang Chong.” The overall design of the burial site is simple, unadorned, solemn, and dignified, surrounded by lush tea trees.
