Yongyuan Xiu Tower

During the Ming Dynasty, floods were especially common, and in an effort to subdue the water disasters, pray for favorable weather, and ensure local safety, the tower was constructed in the Tianqi Jiazi year (1624) of the Ming Dynasty by ten scholars surnamed Wu — led by Wu Xueke — from the upper, middle, and lower villages of Tangpu.
