Tongming Weir Ruins Complex
The Tongming Weir Ruins Complex is a Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
The Tongming Weir Ruins Complex is located in Fenghui Town, Shangyu City, and dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.
On January 7, 2011, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Units.
Fenghui Town: Fenghui Town is an industrial hub, agricultural center, and cultural landmark in Shangyu City, one of China’s top 100 counties and cities in terms of comprehensive economic strength — located in the southeastern part of Shangyu City. The town covers an area of 118 square kilometers, encompasses 79 administrative villages and 6 neighborhood committees, and has a permanent population of 54,000. Fenghui Town boasts a long history and has produced many notable figures. It has served as the seat of Shangyu County government since the second year of the Changqing era in the Tang Dynasty (822 AD), making it over 1,100 years old. Well-preserved historical sites include the Confucius Temple built in the Song Dynasty, the Nine Lions Bridge from the Yuan Dynasty, and the Qian Family Mansion from the Ming Dynasty.
