Jin Shaoqing (1880–1953) was a native of Tianjin, the son of Jin Yiqing, comprador of the British-owned New Tai Hing Bank. In his youth, he apprenticed at a money shop. In 1918, he worked as a clerk at the British-owned New Tai Hing Bank and was later promoted to manager.

This building is bordered by Xinhua Road to the east, Tangshan Road to the south, Hebei Road to the west, and Yingkou Road to the north. With a construction area of 1,026 square meters, it was originally Jin Shaoqing’s private residence before being sold to a capitalist surnamed Qu. The structure is a two-story brick-and-wood building with square cement floral ornaments covering the exterior. The central part of the first floor features a foyer, with square pillars supporting a rectangular balcony and a cement railing. Sloped corner turrets are built on both sides. The second-floor windows and doors are separated by pilasters. The top floor has a sloped roof with overhanging eaves, a central tiger-eye window, and gable dormer windows on both sides. The architecture is symmetrical, with elegant lines and a classic style. The building is currently in good condition.
