The Bian family was one of the Eight Great Families of Tianjin. Locally, they were commonly referred to as the "Xiangci Bian Family," or by the names of their businesses, such as the "Longfu Bian Family" or "Longshunrong Bian Family." This building was the residence of Bian Zhaoxin and other descendants of the Bian family. Bian Zhaoxin once served as the manager of the Tianjin branch of the Central Bank and invested in industry and commerce.

The building is bordered by Hebei Road to the east, Machang Road to the south, Guilin Road to the west, and Munan Road to the north. It has a construction area of 3,280 square meters and is a four-story brick-and-wood structure. The building features exposed brick walls, a gently sloped tiled roof with overhanging eaves, and facades that protrude slightly at both sides, each with a square three-story balcony. The middle section of the second floor is equipped with a row of semi-circular curved balconies, with twisted rope-style columns on either side of the main balcony entrance and a decorative pediment above. The entire building has clean lines, a dignified and classic appearance, and exhibits a typical Spanish architectural style. The building is currently in good condition.

The entire building is a well-preserved and distinctive small Western-style house that deserves protection.
