Thousand-Step Golden Sands, located on Mount Putuo in Zhoushan, stretches 1,370 meters in length and over 400 meters in width, making it the second-largest beach in the Zhoushan Archipelago by area. In terms of sand quality, it is an ideal and high-quality beach for sea bathing, sand bathing, sunbathing, and beach strolls. The sand here is fine-grained, soft, and pure, and compared to the White Step Sand and Thousand-Step Sand of Mount Putuo and the Jihu Beach of Shengsi, it is much finer and softer. It is similar to the East Sand and South Sand of Zhujiajian but even more cushiony, with some vegetation covering the upper part of the beach — something seldom seen elsewhere.
