Attraction Introduction

Baibu Sha is located about a hundred meters east of Puji Temple by the sea, stretching over 600 meters from north to south and more than 200 meters from east to west. It corresponds to Qianbu Sha to the north of Chaoyang Cave, hence the name Baibu Sha, also known as Shaqian Sha. There is a well-developed seaside bathing beach here where you can swim in the summer, or simply take a stroll along the shore at other times, especially beautiful at dusk.

The sand at Baibu Sha is pure and the beach is beautifully shaped. Due to the relatively narrow shoreline and the influence of tides and orientation, the sea here appears particularly gentle. The sea area in front of the beach is vast, with a broad and flat sandy shore. There is a small slope extending into the sea in the middle of the beach, atop which stands a quaint pavilion called Shishi Pavilion. Along with Liuguan Pavilion at the northern end, it is an ideal spot for watching the sunrise, listening to the sound of the tides, and enjoying the sea breeze. On summer evenings, the cool sea breeze draws many visitors to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the refreshing air.

Transportation

Tourist buses operate two dedicated lines connecting most of the major attractions on Putuo Mountain

Line 1: Puji Temple East (Baibu Sha) – Baibu Pavilion – Zhuzhulin (Outdoor Statue of Guanyin of the South Sea) – Rusan Midie (Nanmen Gate) – Ferry Terminal – Haifang Xincun (Xishan Xincun Zone 1) – Seafood Park (Xishan Xincun Zone 2) – Baotuo Restaurant – Puji Temple West (West Mountain Scenic Area Entrance)

Line 2: Ferry Terminal – Rusan Midie (Nanmen Gate) – Zhuzhulin (Outdoor Statue of Guanyin of the South Sea) – Baibu Pavilion – Puji Temple East (Baibu Sha) – Xiarenjing (Chaoyang Cave) – Dacheng’an – Fayu Temple (Qianbu Sha) – Feishawo – Xianghui’an – Fanyin Cave – Baoyue’an – Ancient Buddha Cave – Cable Car Station

In addition to the two dedicated tourist bus lines, point-to-point shuttle buses are available between major scenic areas on Putuo Mountain, with staff dispatching vehicles via radio based on passenger flow.

How to Get to Baibu Sha

On the island, you can take bus lines 1 or 2 and get off at the Baibu Sha (Puji Temple) stop to reach the destination.
