Dongji Island Huangxing Island

Huangxing Island was formerly known as Huangxing Island, located to the east near Miaozihu Island. It is elongated in a north-south orientation, stretching 3.4 kilometers in length and 1.45 kilometers in width, with a land area of 2.44 square kilometers, all of which consists of hills. The coastline is 11.6 kilometers long and entirely made up of bedrock shorelines. The highest point is Pinggang Mountain in the north, with an elevation of 207.1 meters. Because most of the island's surface is covered in yellow soil, it appears yellow when viewed from the southeast sea. According to local legend, the earliest settlers on the island, ancestors surnamed Huang, hoped for the flourishing prosperity of future generations on the island, hence the name.

There are almost no residents now, nor are there any regular ferries, so tourists generally do not go there. If you really want to visit, you can only hire a fishing boat from Miaozihu Island.

Transportation

In Zhoushan, you can take bus routes 3, 6, 7, 9, 13, 15, 20, or 29 to Banshengdong Station, then walk a few minutes to reach Shenjiamen Banshengdong Wharf, where you can take a boat to Miaozihu Island.

Shenjiamen – Miaozihu

Boats depart from Shenjiamen at 8:30 am daily, with the return trip at 11:00 am.

Lower deck: 100 RMB, middle deck: 130 RMB, upper deck: 150 RMB.

There are no regular ferries to the island, so you can only hire a fishing boat from Miaozihu Island.
