Gravel Beach in Xifeng Bay, Dongji Island
At the gravel beach of Xifeng Bay, crystal-clear seawater continuously rushes onto the stony shore, piling up layers of snow-like waves before retreating back to the sea with a gurgling sound, leaving behind glistening wet pebbles exposed to the sunlight. Just as one wave recedes, another quickly follows — a moment of carelessness, and the waves may splash over your feet, drawing shrieks of surprise.
There are no seashells on the beach, but you can often spot small fish swimming in the water, as if keeping you company. In the distance, white clouds drift across the blue sky; nearby, playful waves dance with the gravel. With warm sunlight at your back and a cool sea breeze in your face, it’s a truly harmonious and picturesque scene.
The water here is clearer than at other islands in the Dongji area, making it the best spot for swimming.
