Meiwang Chunxiao of Mount Putuo

Meiwang Chunxiao refers to the early spring scenery of Mount Putuo. Mount Putuo is also known as Meicen, named after the western mountain bay called Meiwang, also referred to as Qianwan. It is said that this area was abundant with wild plum blossoms, and many monks living in hermitages and huts loved cultivating plum trees for their tranquil charm. In early spring, when spring returns to the earth, wild plum blossoms cover the mountains, filling the valleys with fragrance. The green mountains and trees set off the scattered red blossoms, creating a truly beautiful scene. It was once praised as the "Penglai of the Sea."
