Liuheng Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Cemetery is a patriotic education base.

Since its completion in April 1994, Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Cemetery has actively opened to the public and held various exhibitions and visiting activities, fully leveraging its role as a patriotic education base. In recent years, it has received over 3,000 visitors who came to mourn the martyrs and for sightseeing. The cemetery currently covers an area of more than 1,800 square meters, with a building area of over 1,200 square meters, and the rest being green belts. To strengthen the archival work of revolutionary martyrs at Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Cemetery, better promote the spirit of the martyrs, educate future generations, and facilitate public inquiries, the town Party committee and the community Party working committee where the cemetery is located have established a dedicated management organization to oversee the overall management of the cemetery. Additionally, an office has been set up, managed by the Party branch of Changtu Village where the cemetery is situated, responsible for archive management, internal and external publicity, joint construction and co-education efforts, as well as cemetery sanitation management and historical material preservation. The management, facility maintenance, and educational promotion expenses of the cemetery are covered by the town's finances. To maintain the solemnity, reverence, and cleanliness of the cemetery, various regulations have been established, including the "Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Cemetery Management Staff Duties," "Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Deeds Exhibition Visiting Rules," and "Shuangyu Port Martyrs' Cemetery Visitor Guidelines." The foundational work of the cemetery has been strengthened.

Wuxing Community is located in the southwest of Liuheng Island, covering a total area of 17.09 square kilometers, with a total of 2,642 households and a population of 8,926. Established in July 2005, the community administers nine administrative villages: Shanxi Village, Songshan Village, Jizhi Village, Wuxing Village, Li'ao Village, Wanjin Village, Xiaoguojv Village, Zhangqi Port Village, and Changtu Village. There are currently 51 poverty-alleviation paired households in Wuxing Community. By early 2006, two of these households had emerged from poverty.
