The Nan Yanmen Municipal Scenic Area is divided into five major zones: Yan’an, Shantang, Jingxi, Fengshan, and the Natural Ecological Park. With its elegant peaks, lush layered forests, and peculiar rock formations, the area boasts 146 scenic spots that compete in beauty and splendor. Cultural attractions include the Twin Pagodas of Baosheng Temple from the Song Dynasty, the Longhuyan site of the Jinqianhui Uprising, Biquan Temple, Chenghuang Taoist Temple, and more.

The Yan’an scenic area features picturesque landscapes, cultural sites, ancient temples, clear lakes, and steep, rugged rocks, creating a mystical and ethereal atmosphere. Due to the high mountains and dense forests, the area was once difficult to access, but now a safe cable car has been built to take visitors straight into this paradise for a feast of breathtaking views. There is also the Tangchuan scenic area, embraced by green mountains on all sides with a plain at its heart, home to the Eight Scenic Spots of Tangchuan. Xu Xiangdi wrote the following poem about it:

A lofty inn reaches toward the purple clouds, as visitors flock to explore the wonders of Fengshan.

Trembling stone steps hold the weight of a thousand pounds, while Dragon-Tiger Rock shelters an army of a hundred thousand.

Song Dynasty pagodas greet visitors with their ancient charm, and Yuan scholars pass down profound writings through the ages.

The newly added masterpiece, Chenghuang Temple, invites lingering visits until the sunset glow.
