The Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Advance Division Memorial Park is situated on Fengling Mountain in Shanmen Town, Pingyang County. It marks the departure point of the Advance Division led by Su Yu. Themed around “The Ever-Rising Red Flag” and centered on the narrative of “A Monument Forever,” the park highlights the glorious history of the Southern Zhejiang Revolutionary Base and the Advance Division’s northern march to resist Japanese aggression. Blending with the natural scenery of Fengling Mountain, the park is constructed along the mountainside. The main entrance of the memorial park is designed to conform to the terrain, with a section of the hillside carved out to form a gateway shaped like “a corner of the red flag.” On the right side is an inscription reading “Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army Advance Division Memorial Park,” penned by a former member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, State Councilor, and Minister of National Defense. The memorial park features a stepped design that rises from the bottom up. Major commemorative structures include the Red Flag Sightseeing Corridor, Red Flag Square, the Theme Pillar Array of “—”, the Arduous Journey, the 500 Soldiers Marching Relief Wall, the Northern Expedition Gate for the War Against Japan, and a cluster of memorial monuments.
