Jade Cauldron Peak is the totem of Zhongyan Mountain. Also known as Taoist Rock, it resembles an upside-down bronze bell, rising abruptly from the ground with an imposing presence. The earliest mountain chronicle of Zhongyan even bears the name *Jade Cauldron Peak Annals*, which speaks to the peak’s paramount significance in the Zhongyan scenic area.

Soaring into the clouds, Jade Cauldron Peak stands alone as if all other peaks bow before it. This solitary majesty inspires climbers with a breathtaking feeling of standing above everything else, making Jade Cauldron Peak truly the heart and soul of Zhongyan Mountain.

Partway up this peak, nestled within its midsection, lies the magnificent and spacious Jade Rainbow Cave, a cave-within-a-cave structure where the founding monk—Song Dynasty scholar Li Shaohuo—once made his dwelling. At the very summit of Jade Cauldron Peak lies a miniature world of undulating ridges and picturesque landscapes. Standing atop the peak and gazing into the distance, one can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of nobility and awe.
