It has been reported that the exhibition and business solicitation work for the 12th China International Hardware & Electrical Appliance Expo (hereinafter referred to as the 12th Hardware Fair) has been fully launched. Now is the peak period for booth bookings, with booths in high demand—65% of them have already been booked in advance. Well-known enterprises such as Jiangsu Sunrain Solar Energy Co., Ltd., Delixi Group Power Supply Company No. 5, Ningbo Julong Tools Industry Co., Ltd., and Xintian Cookware have signed up to participate. The 12th Hardware Fair is jointly organized by the China National Hardware & Electrical Appliances Commercial Association and the People’s Government of Yiwu City, and hosted by Zhejiang China Commodities City Group Co., Ltd. and the Yiwu Hardware & Electrical Appliance Industry Association. It will be grandly held at the Yiwu International Expo Center from April 20 to 22, 2015. The exhibition categories for participating companies include five major sectors: hardware tools, construction hardware, daily-use hardware, electronics and electrical appliances, and machinery & mechanical equipment. The planned exhibition area is 33,000 square meters, with 1,300 international standard booths. The expected number of professional buyers in attendance is 45,000, including 4,000 overseas buyers.
Review of the 11th Yiwu Hardware Fair
The 11th Yiwu Hardware Fair in 2014 covered an exhibition area of 30,000 square meters with 1,000 exhibitors. It featured numerous “nationally renowned trademarks” and provincial-level branded goods, such as Goodwife Technology, Samsung Door Industry, Qiai Group, Sanyou Holdings, Bosch Tools, Pan Yi Measuring Tapes, 505 Locks, Delixi Electrical Appliances, Ouyi Electrical Appliances, Xintian Cookware, and Macro Gas Appliances, all of which participated in the fair. In addition, over twenty hardware and electrical appliance production bases, including those from Qingdao, Linyi, Yongkang, Wenzhou, Jinhua, Pujiang, Haiyan, Qidong, Yueqing, Cixi, Zhuji, Taizhou, Xinhui, Shunde, and Zhongshan, made their collective appearance. The event attracted over 40,000 merchants from 84 countries and regions, including nearly 4,000 overseas buyers. The top five countries/regions in terms of foreign attendance were South Korea, Taiwan, Iran, India, and the United States. The total transaction volume exceeded 1 billion yuan, with foreign trade transactions accounting for 51.2% of the total.
