East Trail
The most noteworthy sights are Zhongtan under Qiqu and Meiyutan in Siqu. The former features a waterfall above a pool and a pool above a waterfall, excelling in form, sound, and color; the latter has deep, jade-green waters that remain full without drying up, stirring the imagination.
Introduction
The East and West Trails (pronounced “Jì”) are the two wings of Yujue Peak. The West Trail is known for its peaks and rocks, while the East Trail stands out for its waterfalls and pools. The East Trail stretches seven li in length, winding through seven turns, with rugged rocks on both banks creating a variety of landscapes. It boasts numerous waterfalls and pools, with year-round murmuring streams.
The East Trail has a stream called Donglong Street, meandering seven li and connecting a series of uniquely beautiful pools: Zhongtan, Lianzhu Pool, Xiaolong Pool, Meiyutan, and Lianhua Pool. Among these pools are cascading waterfalls such as Huansha Waterfall, Mawei Waterfall, and Meiyu Waterfall...
The best waters in Zhongyan are mainly found in the Three Lakes and East Trail areas. The Three Lakes are clear and charming, showcasing the static beauty of water, while the East Trail displays the dynamic and lively beauty of flowing water. With both still and moving waters in harmony, complementing its mountain scenery, Zhongyan naturally shines with exceptional beauty.
