The Three Lakes

The Three Lakes (Bai Shi Lake, Zhong Qian Lake, and Long Shan Lake) are located at the foot of Yu Jing Peak, the main peak of the Central Yandang Mountains, covering a total area of 692 hectares with a combined water storage capacity of 36 million cubic meters. The area boasts clean air and a pleasant environment, making it an ideal destination for boating and summer retreats.

The Three Lakes are the pride of Central Yandang, where the picturesque lakeside peaks and tranquil waters come together in perfect harmony. These three man-made lakes have turned the vision of the poet Xie Lingyun — “a thousand acres bordered by long embankments, ten thousand miles of flowing streams” — into reality, serving as a prime example of nature and human artistry seamlessly integrated to create landscape beauty.
