Display Banner Peak

Located in the Lingyan Scenic Area. Situated to the left front of Lingyan Temple and facing Heavenly Pillar Peak, it stands about

260 meters tall and resembles a grand banner billowing in the wind, exuding a majestic presence. Legend has it that this peak was formed from the divine transformation of the army banner left behind by the Yellow Emperor on his way back after conquering Chiyou in ancient times. The Qing Dynasty poet Yuan Mei wrote a poem titled "Display Banner Peak" documenting this tale: “The Yellow Emperor captured Chiyou, yet did not take back the battle flags. They turned into stone ridges, each ridge brimming with the clarity of autumn.”
