Destination Introduction

Nankou Farm in Beijing is located in the southern part of Nankou Town, Changping District, Beijing. It is one of the first national-level green food production demonstration bases recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture. Covering an area of over 18,000 mu, the farm boasts fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and convenient transportation. It is currently the largest state-owned farm in terms of land size in the suburbs of Beijing. The enterprise has registered the “Yanguang” brand trademark. Its fruit cultivation has won multiple national, ministerial, and municipal science and technology progress awards. It serves as a research and demonstration base for the capital’s cut lily flower industry standards and has undertaken the Beijing Municipal Government’s demonstration project for year-round lily production and supply.

The Nankou Farm Sightseeing & Picking Orchard currently has 3,000 mu of land, mainly planted with dozens of fruit varieties including greenhouse strawberries, nectarines, cherries, star fruits, and guavas. Outdoors, there are seasonal fruits such as apples, nectarines, plums, and apricots. Thanks to its unique geographical location and climate conditions, the fruits here are not only brightly colored but also exceptionally tasty, making it a top choice for group purchases by organizations and enterprises, as well as family fruit-picking outings. In addition to sightseeing and picking, to provide more comprehensive services for visitors, Nankou Farm is gradually adding new service offerings on the existing basis, such as flower viewing, student military training, agricultural education bases, snowfield experiences, catering tourism, special breeding, and leisure vacations. The goal is to build a modern urban agricultural park that integrates fruit picking with demonstration, sightseeing, picking, experience, leisure, vacation, and dining.

Best Travel Time  All year round — you can visit Nankou Farm for sightseeing and leisure in every season, as it offers floral views and fruit picking opportunities throughout the year. From January to March: strawberries, star fruits, guavas, and green jujubes; from April to July: nectarines, grapes, cherries, apricots, pears, and plums; from August to October: apples, jujubes, and grapes; from November to December: guavas, green jujubes, star fruits, etc. There are always attractive fruits launched throughout the year.

Transportation Information  Route: Take bus 914 from Deshengmen and get off at Gecun Station, then walk 1,000 meters west.

Self-driving Route: Take the Badaling Expressway, exit at Changping Science and Technology Park (Exit 13A), drive west along Shuinan Road to the end, then go 1,000 meters south on the west side of the road.
