Memorial Hall of the Founding of the Lishui County Committee of the Communist Party of China

The Memorial Hall of the Founding of the Lishui County Committee of the Communist Party of China is a classic red tourism attraction.

In May 1938, the Lishui Branch was restructured into the Lishui Central Branch. By August, the Central Branch had developed nearly 100 party members across the county and established nearly 20 branches. In light of the rapid growth of the Lishui party organization, the Wenzhou Central County Committee decided to expand the Lishui Central Branch into the Lishui Central District Committee. In late August, the Central District Committee held its founding meeting at Luoshan Primary School. The Central District Committee oversaw sub-district committees, central branches, special branches, and directly affiliated branches, with former Central Branch members appointed as Central District Committee members. In October, the Wenzhou Central County Committee was dissolved, and the Lishui party organization came under the leadership of the CPC Taizhou Special Committee. By December, the party organization across the county had grown rapidly, establishing over 60 branches with more than 400 party members. The CPC Taizhou Special Committee then decided to expand the Lishui Central District Committee into the Provisional County Committee of Lishui. In the spring of 1939, it was officially upgraded to the County Committee, with Zheng Meidi serving as the County Party Secretary. In September of the same year, the First Representative Conference of the Lishui County Committee of the Communist Party of China was held at Gukeng Mountain near Luoshan Primary School.

The Memorial Hall of the Founding of the Lishui County Committee of the Communist Party of China is located in Putou Village, Yandang Town, Lishui City. It was built in July 1999. The main building of the memorial hall is a two-story, five-bay antique-style structure covering an area of approximately 1,350 square meters. The exhibition hall displays materials and photos related to the Lishui County Committee of the Communist Party of China leading the local people in the anti-Japanese salvation movement and armed struggle. The memorial hall has now become an important site for revolutionary tradition education among party members, cadres, the general public, and especially young people in Lishui.
